[TYPES/announce] Postdoctoral position in software systems@ UC Irvine

The programming language and systems group at UC Irvine is seeking
qualified candidates for a postdoctoral researcher position in the broad
area of software and systems optimizations (of particular interest is the
optimization of data-intensive systems). The position is funded by ONR and
NSF.

The ideal candidate should have strong background in programming languages,
compilers, or systems. Good knowledge of big data and large-scale graph
processing is a plus. Background must be demonstrated by a PhD completed in
a relevant area and publications in top tier (PL and systems) venues.

Applicants must be proficient in spoken and written scientific English,
have excellent communication skills and be creative. Appointments will be
initially for a one year period and will be renewable. Competitive salary
will be offered, depending on experience and qualification.
