DisCoTec 2022 is one of the major events sponsored by the International
Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and the European Association
for Programming Languages and Systems (EAPLS). It gathers conferences and
workshops that cover a broad spectrum of distributed computing subjects —
from theoretical foundations and formal description techniques, testing and
verification methods, to language design and system implementation
approaches.

Pre-conference workshops will take place on Monday, June 13, 2022, and
post-conference workshops on Friday, June 17, 2022.

First Workshop on Collaborative Mining for Distributed Systems

CoMinDs 2022

https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.discotec.org/2022/cominds__;!!IBzWLUs!Ao_GzH3hdwMA9aDBbqgXZXJ0U5w3cdOdn7JY8DPdFgxteNLF3c5h7jYdkJfSDd-VVMKp9PXIMROTKg$

CoMinDS workshop is about collaborative mining, i.e., process mining
applied in the presence of heterogeneous data produced by the components of
a distributed system, i.e., distributed event logs. The workshop welcomes
open challenges, state-of-the-art, in-progress research, practical
experiences, and case studies regarding the effective coordination and
cooperation of distributed systems. The topics of CoMinDS include
Construction of Distributed Event Logs, Discovery of Collaborative Models,
Conformance Analysis for Collaborative Models, Multi-perspective
Collaborative Mining, Privacy-preserving Collaborative Process Mining,
Distributed Systems Monitoring and Repair, Collaborative Decision Mining,
and Streaming Collaborative Mining.

Paper submission deadline: April 7, 2022
Notification of accepted papers: May 20, 2022
Workshop: June 13, 2022

3th International Workshop on Foundations of Consensus and Distributed
Ledgers

FOCODILE 2022

https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.discotec.org/2022/focodile__;!!IBzWLUs!Ao_GzH3hdwMA9aDBbqgXZXJ0U5w3cdOdn7JY8DPdFgxteNLF3c5h7jYdkJfSDd-VVMKp9PWpWchP2Q$

FOCODILE is a forum to exchange ideas and recent research findings on
theoretical foundations of consensus and blockchain technology. FOCODILE
has no formal proceedings. Novel research works or already published papers
are welcome (in the form of extended abstracts).

Topics include, but are not limited to: Formal models of distributed
consensus; Blockchain-specific cryptographic primitives and protocols;
Formal verification of blockchain protocols and smart contracts; Byzantine
fault tolerance and consensus; Design and analysis of distributed ledgers;
Blockchain consensus mechanisms; Privacy and anonymity in cryptocurrencies;
Game-theoretic approaches to blockchains; Post-quantum blockchain
protocols; Performance and scalability of blockchain systems.

Extended abstract submission deadline: April 30, 2022
Notification of accepted talks: May 20, 2022
Workshop: June 13, 2022

15th Interaction and Concurrency Experience

ICE 2022

https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.discotec.org/2022/ice__;!!IBzWLUs!Ao_GzH3hdwMA9aDBbqgXZXJ0U5w3cdOdn7JY8DPdFgxteNLF3c5h7jYdkJfSDd-VVMKp9PWpFSHLxA$

ICE is a series of international scientific meetings oriented to
theoretical computer science researchers with a special interest in models,
verification, tools, and programming primitives for concurrent systems and
complex interactions. The general scope of the venue includes theoretical
and applied aspects of interactions and the synchronization mechanisms used
among components of concurrent/distributed systems, related to several
areas of computer science in the broad spectrum ranging from formal
specification and analysis to studies inspired by emerging computational
models.

Papers and talks submission deadline: April 15, 2022
Notification of accepted papers and talks: May 23, 2022
Workshop: June 17, 2022

First Workshop on Blockchain Technologies and Trusted Execution Environments

BlockTEE 2022

https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.discotec.org/2022/blocktee__;!!IBzWLUs!Ao_GzH3hdwMA9aDBbqgXZXJ0U5w3cdOdn7JY8DPdFgxteNLF3c5h7jYdkJfSDd-VVMKp9PW_AUt1Ew$

Blockchains and TEE (trusted execution environments) are popular emerging
technologies, enabling new or existing use cases to be deployed under
stronger security and trust models. Blockchains and TEEs have been combined
in the past to enhance the performance, security, and applicability for
blockchains. In this workshop, we invite novel combinations of these two
technologies. Some of the topics we are interested in include practical
results that show how to combine these two technologies to operate under
stricter security models, offering new performance results, new proof-of-*
systems enabled by TEEs, improvements over state-of-the-art ledgers
exploiting TEEs, mixed or hybrid TEE deployments for distributed ledgers,
or novel partitioning techniques dealing with heterogeneous TEE setups for
blockchains. Real-world results from large-scale deployments combining TEEs
and blockchains are highly encouraged.

Paper submission deadline: April 17, 2022 (AoE timezone)
Notification of accepted papers: May 23, 2022
Workshop: June 17, 2022

https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.discotec.org/2022/remv__;!!IBzWLUs!Ao_GzH3hdwMA9aDBbqgXZXJ0U5w3cdOdn7JY8DPdFgxteNLF3c5h7jYdkJfSDd-VVMKp9PVGIhbqwQ$

REMV is aimed at discussing with the professional community the latest
achievements in the field of robotic systems, intelligent electronics, the
development of machine vision systems, the application of the achievements
of robotics, electronics and machine vision in various aspects at all
levels and in all contexts. The workshop can cover various topics, not
limited to, including innovative research in the following areas: computer
vision and robotics in agriculture; computer vision and robotics in sports
and medicine; robots and production automation; unmanned vehicles and
autonomous devices; fundamental problems of creating robotic systems;
algorithms and tools for the development of computer vision systems and
robotic systems; legal aspects of computer vision and robotics.

Paper submission deadline: April 30, 2022

* COVID-19 pandemic *

COVID-19: DisCoTec 2022 is planned as a physical, in-person event, with
certain support for remote presence, both for speakers and for other
participants who are unable or unwilling to come. Depending on the pandemic
situation, we may have to make a decision whether to cancel the physical
component of the event or not.
