We are happy to announce that the 2025 Midwest Programming Languages Summit

Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota.
The Midwest Programming Languages Summit <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://mwpls.org__;!!IBzWLUs!WaCi2Apm6KgswtUGlVM0cUC31JHZDxiNeR4eKPux5qCsxahLN3iOPOxu_8uV9KIlU-45vLk0hzMMxsXuv9E8xpqqNA$ > is an informal
workshop that is held annually with the intention of fostering an exchange
of ideas and promoting collaboration among faculty and students in the
Greater Midwest area. It should be of interest to anyone working on
programming languages and compilers and on the application of ideas from
these areas to realms such as systems, software engineering, and
human-computer interaction. The summit typically features a collection of
talks and posters about ongoing research on topics that may be of interest
to the broad programming languages community. Student participation is
especially of interest. The event this year will benefit from a grant from
the National Science Foundation that will enable us to make travel awards
to facilitate such participation. The summit will have no formal
proceedings, but abstracts and slides will be distributed on the web after
the event.
The deadline to submit abstracts for talks and posters is Friday, November
14, 2025. Forms for submitting abstracts for talks and posters, for
applying for a travel grant and for registering to participate in the event
are available on the event’s webpage: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://2025.mwpls.org/__;!!IBzWLUs!WaCi2Apm6KgswtUGlVM0cUC31JHZDxiNeR4eKPux5qCsxahLN3iOPOxu_8uV9KIlU-45vLk0hzMMxsXuv9FM2VzOVA$ . Registration
is free and attendees will be provided with complimentary breakfast, lunch,
and coffee breaks.
We hope to see many students and faculty members especially from the
Midwest region in Minneapolis in December!
Best regards,
Favonia, Gopalan, and Eric
