[Unison-hackers] How do I connect unison-2.12.0 linux to 2.9.1 for solaris?

I first tried to use unison via a samba mapping on a linux box (from the
solaris machine).  Too slow (I have a few G of data), and mucked up the
execute bit.  I eventually found a matching version for solaris on the
web and am now back in business.
