If someone wants to test the GUI, I can send it (I have an intel version compiled, but I can compile a PPC as well). By the way, I know how to make a universal binary of the text version, using lipo, but as the GUI is a .app package I don't really know how to make a UB out of it. If someone could tell me, that would be great. (Do I only need to lipo the Unison.app/Contents/MacOS/ Unison and Unison.app/Contents/MacOS/cltool files?) Suggestions for improvement: could you get rid of the dark stripes at the bottom? - 3d: I like the 3d aspect (which is something that bothers me a little in the illustration version). Suggestions for improvement: could you lower a bit the tip of the arrows (they seem to go a little high which make for maybe too slender arrow heads)? Could you make the front arrow more orange (it seems yellower than the illustration version, whose color I find more pleasing)? And there is one thing that looks great in the illustration version: the yellow edge on the dark branch of the U. Could it be doable in this version? As for voting, I don't know what we should do. We could let Benjamin decide ;-) Thanks again, Alan -- Alan Schmitt The hacker: someone who figured things out and made something cool happen. .O. ..O OOO -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Message-ID: <9CDB6D54-D726-4A72-8836-68D451EADBF8@polytechnique.org> Hello, I've been using the current version of 2.27 for several weeks now, both with GUI and text, synchronizing between two OS X machines and also with a linux machine, and everything has been working well here. As there is no current release of a OS X GUI, I was wondering if I could put this version up to download (both as PPC and x86 as I don't know how to make universal binaries of GUI applications). Is something preventing this to become the new stable release? I just stumbled on the way to do it reading other things, and it seems fairly simple. The icon is stored in the application bundle, under Contents/ Resources/Unison.icns To create an icon, one can use the developer application Icon Composer, in /Developer/Applications/Utilities. Under Tiger, it seems that one need 4 versions of the icon: 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, and 128x128 in RGBA. One also needs the "hit mask" (a 1 bit of mask of the same size than the icon) but it can be computed from the icon itself. I just tried creating an icon and replacing the one from Unison, and it works (there is some caching involved so it's not visible immediately though, copying the application made it visible). Vitezslav, if you have these 4 versions of the icon in RGBA, I could try incorporating it in the 2.28 current version, just to see how it looks. Thanks, Alan -- Alan Schmitt The hacker: someone who figured things out and made something cool happen. .O. ..O OOO -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
