[Unison-hackers] long wait "Waiting for changes from server"

Following up an old query...

Unison has some nearly finished code to interact with an external  
"file watcher" process that will feed it notifications of updates so  
that it doesn't have to check for itself.  If you or someone else  
wants to work a little on pushing this to completion, I can help with  
figuring out the current state of things.
