Fair enough.  We've gotten into the habit of proliferating new ones because they have tended to be contributed by relatively new community members and to make significant changes (so it has seemed wise not to commit to them immediately).  This is a smaller change by a core contributor, so I agree we can just do it in place (and, indeed, rename it uimac).
