[TYPES/announce] Co-chair sought: ICFP 2026 Student Research Competition

Dear colleagues,

I am seeking a co-chair for the ICFP 2026 Student Research Competition
(SRC). ICFP 2026 will be held August 24–26, 2026 in Indianapolis,
Indiana, USA.

The SRC provides undergraduate and graduate researchers an opportunity
to present their original research, receive feedback from experts in
the field, and compete for prizes and recognition. The SRC chair is
responsible for organizing all three rounds of the competition:
reviewing extended abstract submissions, coordinating the poster
session, and managing the finalist presentations and awards at the
conference.

I am looking for a co-chair who is:

- A junior faculty member or senior postdoc in the programming
  languages or functional programming community
- Planning to attend ICFP 2026 in person
- Interested in gaining experience with conference organization

The time commitment is moderate. The co-chair will help with:

- Recruiting the program committee
- Managing the review process for 3-page extended abstracts
- Coordinating the poster session and finalist presentations at the
  conference
- Handling logistics with ACM for prizes, medals, and certificates
