(Okay, so maybe if I hadn't used a certain untyped language for the
simulator, it might not have taken so long.  I also wouldn't have had
anywhere near as much fun writing it.)

Realistically, probably not.  But, hey, you never know....

still more adjusting to be done, to say nothing of "documenting" and
sending my solution....
