Hi everybody,

For me, I thought the simulator was really fun. I didn't manage to get an
ant together to send in because I was having too much fun making an OpenGL
viewing system to watch the ants in action. I've just now got a very
preliminary release available that you all might be interested in trying:

http://ofb.net/~cilibrar/ant/antworld-0.81.tar.gz

This includes a precompiled binary that works on my W2K system using
MSys, MinGW, SDL, SDLmain, OpenGL, libGlut, and libGlu. It will be released
for Linux soon as well.

And obligatory screenshot at:

I am wondering if there are others that would be interested in helping me
add some features to this program. Check out the doc/readme.txt for more
information on how to use the program. Due to funny video library
incompatibilties, the program cannot print an error message if you fail to give
it valid world or ant program filenames; it will exit without explanation.

I've just looked at a few of the ants that have been shared and I must say
it's really fun to watch those little guys fight it out.

Cheers,

Rudi
