The University of Innsbruck invites applications for two positions of

         Professor of Computer Science

at the Institute of Computer Science. Computer Science was established
in 2001 as a new focus of research and teaching as well as intensive
cooperation with business and industry. It is offered at the bachelor,
master and doctorate level.

The appointment will initially be for a period of six years. Towards
the end of this period, there will be an assessment procedure. On a
positive evaluation of the post holder's performance, the appointment
will be made permanent.

PROFILE

You have an excellent reputation in one or more of the following areas:

(A) - design and implementation of programming languages
     - program analysis and transformation
     - code generation for modern computer architectures

respectively

(B) - embedded systems
     - real-time systems
     - mobile systems

As a university teacher you are expected to cover the following areas:

(A) programming languages, software development and specification

respectively

(B) computer engineering

in the bachelor and master programs.

REQUIREMENTS

* venia docendi or equivalent qualification in the subject areas
   specified above
* strong evidence of participation in international research
* pedagogic, didactic and managerial skills
