[Unison-hackers] long wait "Waiting for changes from server"

I have 38gb of data and about 40,000 files. I have the exact same build 
of unison on all my lab machines. Each attempt to verify files takes 
about 3 seconds. The pause when the text "Waiting for changes from 
server" is about 7 seconds and always results with "Nothing to do ...". 
I'm not sure how to help the process so the "nothing" really is nothing 
and I'm not waiting those 7 seconds.
